About Me

My name is Kory Beth and I am a graduate student who is striving to become the ultimate Spartan Warrior!

I graduated from Clarkson University in May of 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical/Biomolecular Engineering and Chemistry. While persuing my undergraduate degree I kept active, but was never a fitness buff. I have been an avid skier, snowboarder (as well as intructor), SCUBA diver, hiker, swimmer, belly dancer, etc, but never running, and never serious training.

When I graduated from CU, I looked at some pictures and saw what I was apparently avoiding... my weight had gotten away from me. I stepped on the scale and was surprised to see a 178 lbs staring back at me. I panicked. I ordered my first pair of vibram five fingers, taught myself how to barefoot run properly, and haven't turned back. I have taken my strength training seriously, starting making training plans and got lost in it...

I am now a graduate student at Drexel University College of Medicine going for my Masters' of Science in Drug Discovery & Development. Unlike during my undergraduate experience I have kept my fitness and overall health as a major priorety and I even have a part time job as a Rock Wall Instructor at the University's Recreation Center. I've lost over 30 pounds, countless inches, I workout 6 days a week, have run countless races, and am on my way to earning my trifecta. I am getting stronger, healthier, and happier every day.

AROO!
